Aqim Restore Ministries

Aqim (אקים) is a Jewish verb that means “to raise up,” it can also mean to restore or rebuild,  our goal is to restore the Jewish Hebrew roots of the Christian faith to the Body of Messiah in a way that is neither legalistic or demanding. We desire our Sunday worshiping brothers and sisters in Messiah to see and experience God’s Torah (Instruction) as the life giving, loving gift that it is. Joseph Dowell is an ordained Messianic Teacher through The Messianic Jewish Alliance of America (MJAA), who plans and gives free seminars to educate and equip believing Jews and Gentiles in the good news of becoming one new man, one in the olive tree. Goals: preparing believers for service, building leadership skills, and promoting the reconciliation of Israel and the nations through the Messiah Yeshua and the roots of the Holy Inspired Word of ADONAI.

In June of 2018, Joe and Lyn traveled to Sacramento, CA. to speak out against a proposed law making it illegal to counsel those with Gender Dysphoria away from the LGBTQ community. While Lyn and I had, on occasion, shared our personal story of Gender Dysphoria and Lesbianism, at this point the Lord revealed that our ministry will have two focuses, the first, as stated above, is the restoration of the believing community with their Jewish brothers. The second will be restoring our LGBTQ brothers and sisters to wholeness. while we are not therapists we can talk about how the saving power of Yeshua (Jesus) transformed our lives and healed us of these sinful desires.
